Product Description

This fine, vibrant green Japanese powder comes from the Uji region, renowned worldwide for the quality of its Matcha.

Composed of three cultivars (Gokou, Yabukita, and Sayamakaori), it lends the emulsion a rich character with notes of cocoa and almond milk.

On the palate, the initial taste is smooth and creamy, supported by hints of green vegetables and chlorophyll, followed by a finish that subtly evokes the taste of sunflower seeds.

Dense and underpinned by a slight astringency, this elegant Matcha is sure to please!

For optimal freshness, consume the Matcha within 6 months of opening and keep refrigerated.

Preparing Traditional Matcha

Sift the desired amount of Matcha through a fine sieve.*
Warm the chawan (bowl) with hot water.
Discard the water and then dry the bowl with a clean cloth. Depending on the desired strength, place 1 to 2 grams (1/2 to 1 teaspoon) of matcha powder in the center of the bowl.
Gently pour 65 to 100 ml of water at 75°C over the matcha.
Whisk vigorously with a chasen (matcha whisk) for about 30 seconds until a smooth foam forms.
Enjoy.

*Optional. Matcha powder keeps best when refrigerated, and sifting it will make the foam smoother and prevent lumps from forming.
